Bringing Knowledge and Experience to Qualified Individuals
Cyber Security is one of the fastest-growing fields to date. Companies are spending more time focusing on security and need the right individuals to work in specialized roles. However, traditional cyber security certification programs don't emphasize the right skills.
CISOSHARE is working with United Way for the first cyber security training program through UpSkill Orange County. The ideal participants aren't necessarily technically well-versed — they're quick learners, logical thinkers, and team players.
CISOSHARE was founded as a learning and teaching environment, and we to extend this not only to our clients and business partners, but the greater community as well. Our mission is to build effective security programs while leaving a positive impact on the world.
How the Class Works
Participants begin with training with a month of foundational training at United Way’s facilities in Irvine to learn the basics of how to navigate the cyber security discipline.
After the class, participants are invited to CISOSHARE to work directly with our security experts. Candidates receive hands-on, role-specific training in three cyber security positions that are the most commonly needed: third-party risk assessors, vulnerability analysts, and policy analysts.
Finally, participants will have the opportunity to work directly on projects within partner businesses to further develop and refine their skills with challenges only found in real projects.
